Technology - Environmental Engineering

Some waste water and water treatment technologies have been applied successfully by ECO with various capacity as below:

However, the influent characters depend on kind of waste water and other factors. Therefore, please contact ECO to get the best solution about waste water treatment plant for your company base on ECO’s investigation and detail consulting.

Advanced Wastewater Treatment

Continuous filtration system

Wastewater goes through the filter material has a average size (0.7 ÷ 0.8mm) with high velocity, residue will be retained on the surface of filter material

Application:Remove remaining suspended solids after sedimentation process

Advantages:

  • Ability to treat well with water has a high suspended solid concentration (<300 mg/l)

  • The process of filteration and backwashing take place simultaneously, therefore, no need to stop for backwash process

  • High efficiency, stable quality of treated water

  • Easy to operate

  • Energy consumption, operating and maintenance cost are low

Pressure filtration system

Wastewater goes through the filter material has a average size (0.7 ÷ 0.8mm) with high velocity in closed equipment, residue will be retained on the surface of filter material.

Advantages:

  •  The size of equipment is small because of high filtration velocity.

  •  No need pump for treated water beacause of residual pressure after filtering.

  •  Advoid the vacuum phenomenon in filter material bed under pressurized conditions

Micron microfilter system

Application of the filtering process through the size micro slot. If size of solids and some organic matter is bigger than the slot size, they will be retained on the surface.

Application:Remove solids and some organic compounds with microsize

Nano filtered membrane system

Application of the phase separation between water molecules and the remaining molecules based on molecular diffusion process under high operating pressure, the dissolved impurities in the wastewater is retained on the membrane and the treated wastewater is absorbed through membrane

Application:Treating color and remaining COD in the wastewater

Advantages:

  • High efficiency of color treatment

  • Remove the remaining COD in the wastewater

Physiochemical Treatment Process

Coagulation and Flocculation Process
The wastewater will be admixed with the coagulant by mixing system/agitator and aggregate is formed for coagulation process. After that they will be bigger by flocculation process and these flocs will be easy removed by gravity sedimentation or flotation mechanism.

Application:

  • Removing color, reducing suspended solids in wastewater and colloidal solids which can not settle by gravity.
  • Removing Phosphorus in wastewater with high efficiency.
  • It can be applied before or after Biological Treatment Process

Super Shallow Air Floating Purifier
It is the advanced technology in comparison with traditional Dissolved-air flotation technology.

Application:Removing oils, grease, suspended solid and bio-sludge thicken.

Advantage:
  • Removing suspended solids with high efficiency (η = 90 ~ 95%)
  • Small size
  • Low operation cost
  • Saving chemical usage
  • Low air supply
  • Low Hydraulic Retention Times (HRT)
  • Small size of supplied micro-air bubble

Biological Treatment Technology - Anaerobic Biological Treatment Process

Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB)
UASB tank is apllied the suspended - growth of microorganisms that occur in the absence of oxygen completely.
The wastewater flow upward through a sludge blanket composed of biologically formed pellet sludge. Under anaerobic condition, the organic is converted biologically to water and biogas by anaerobic microorganisms

Completely Mixed Anaerobic Digestion Process

The Complete-Mix Anaerobic Digestion tank where the wasterwater is mixied completely and continuously depend on the mixing mechanical system (Submersible Mixer) for optimum contacting environment of the wastewater and anaerobic sludge to digesting the organic matter to water and biogas

Anaerobic Filter - AF

Applied attached-growth process of anaerobic microorganism for the treatment of organic mater in wastewater. The wastewater flows upward through the column with various types of solid media, contacting with anaerobic attached-growth bacteria on the media.

Hybrid UASB/AF combination process

Combination of UASB and AF processes.  In UASB/AF tank, wastewater flow upward through the suspended anaerobic sludge layer, and then it continue to go through the media with anaerobic bacteria grow and are retained on the surface for decomposing biologically the organic matter by attached anaerobic microorganism.

Application: Treating wastewater with high COD, BOD concentration and have ability to treat hard biodegradable organics.

Advantage:

  • Stabilization, the capability to sustain high organic loading and toxicity

  • Production of excess sludge is low

  • Possibility in collection and using of biogas.

  • Low investment and operation cost

Anoxic Biological Treatment Process

Anoxic tank

Promoting growing process of microorganism in anoxic condition for decomposing and converting nitrogen in wastewater through nitrification and denitrification process.

Application: to treat wastewater with high nitrogen concentration.

Advantage:

  • Simple to operate

  • Removing nitrogen in wastewater with high efficiency.

Aerobic Biological Treatment Process

Aerobic bioreactor – Aerotank

Aerotank is applied the suspended-growth of aerobic bacteria that occur in the presence of oxygen.  Aerobic bacteria perform decomposition of organic matter, converting them into CO2, H2O, and new cells.

Application:Treating wastewater polluted with easy biodegradable organic, constant loading.

Advantage:

  • Operating system stability, high efficiency

  • Simple to operate

Squencing Biological Reactor - SBR

SBR includes chain of the biological processes: Anoxic Biological Treatment Process - Aerobic biological treatment process - sedimentation.

Application:

  • Treating wastewater polluted with organic BOD, COD, nitrogen, phosphorus, nitrogen concentration input is not too high (TN <100 mg/l)

  • Applying to treat wastewater with fluctuations in concentration and flow rate

Advantages:

  • Colligating treatment process and sedimentation in one tank à reducing tank footprint

  • Saving investment cost, operating costs, equipment maintenance costs.

  • Ability to treat nitrogen, phosphorus with high efficiency.

  • Flexible operation mode which can be changed base on the quantity and quality of influent

Aerobic Moving Bed Bioreactor - MBBR

MBBR is applied the decomposition process of dissolved organic matter in wastewater by attached microorganisms. When communities of microorganisms grow on the freely moving carriers, they are called biofilms. Biofilms with higher microorganisms will use dissolved organic in wastewater as energy sources to live and grow and converting them into CO2, H2O

Application:

  • Treating wastewater polluted with organic BOD, COD and low nitrogen concentration

  •  Applying for project have limited area

Advantages:

  • Treatment efficiency of BOD / COD is very high (> 95%), and capable of treating nitrogen, phosphorus in wastewater.

  • Resisting to cloging by the attached-growth bacteria.

  • Reduction of excess slugde, therefor saving the sludge disposal costs.

  • Allow overload up to 30% of capacity without increasing volume of react tank by adding more of bio-media.

  • Only one time charge, no replacement of bio-media.
